The Curriculums We Use
American Indian Life Skills: This curriculum addresses key issues in
American Indian adolescent’s lives and teaches such life skills as
communication, problem solving, depression, stress management,
anger regulation, and goal setting.
Dare To be You: Focuses on positive development for youth
(and prevention of problem behaviors) through training,
curriculum and technical assistance. DARE to be You (DTBY)
builds life skills in youth and their families to reduce the
risks of problem behaviors and enhance the potential of individuals
Dating Violence: It’s a Big Deal: Builds awareness of dating
violence to teenagers & young adults. It promotes non-controlling,
non-violent behavior among teens and their friends.
Diné Healthy Living: A Native American view on healthy living
with healthy living presentations.
Discovery-Positive Connection for Kids: Designed to build
resiliency against alcohol and other drug problems among
children raised in high risk families and communities, with special
emphasis on children and alcoholism.
Futures for Children: The primary goal of Futures for
Children is to increase the Three Circles of Support: Youth
Leadership, Friendship, and Families in Action.
Owning Up Curriculum: The Owning Up Curriculum presents
a unique and comprehensive approach to preventing youth
violence by targeting the root causes of bullying and other
forms of social cruelty.
Physical Activity Kit: A curriculum that emphasizes
on physical activity, teamwork, and communication.
Project Adventure: A comprehensive adventure program
for physical adventure for kids K-12. An experiential/activity
based approach to develop social/emotional skills, motor skill
development through physical activities.
Protecting You/ Protecting Me: An alcohol prevention
curriculum for children. Based off of scientific research
its combines health based lessons that teach children
how to protect themselves and make positive informed decisions.
Student Assistance Program: Group oriented curriculum
that focuses on students who are willing to participate or
who are referred. Topics of lessons include topics of high
risk behaviors, alcohol/drugs.
T.R.A.I.L.S.-(Together Raising Awareness for Indian Life) for
Diabetes Prevention-is an innovative combination of physical,
educational and nutritional activities.
