Hiring dates vary throughout the year. We encourage everyone to stop by your local ODY Agency Office to pick up and turn in an application.
What is the 'real' name of ODY?
ODY stands for Office of Diné YOUTH which is our name since July, 2013. However over the years, the office has gone through numerous name changes - the office is often remembered as DYCS (Department of Youth Community Services), DOY (Department of Youth), and more recently, the Office of Youth Development (OYD).
Is hiring based on income?
No.
What are the requirements for hiring?
- A completed youth application (all signatures present)
- Letter of interest (1 page, typed)
- Resume
- Navajo Nation Voter Registration (must have your parents' if you are under 18)
- Navajo Nation Certificate of Indian Blood
- Social Security Card
- Attend ODY sponsored Job Readiness Training
Are there stipends available?
Unfortunately no - stipends are no longer offered due to budget limitations.
